Jason Nishiyama - Bio

Jason Nishiyama was born in Calgary, Alberta and grew up throughout Alberta and British Columbia. He developed an interest in astronomy, electronics and computers at a young age and has pursued these as a hobby to this day. Jason became interested in radio astronomy in high school and has been an active amateur radio astronomer ever since. Jason is the Director of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada Calgary Centre's Wilson Coulee Observatory, where he does most of his radio astronomy work.
Jason pays the bills as a teacher with the Calgary Board of Education working at AADAC Youth Services. His is also a reservist with the Canadian Forces, working with cadets. Apart from astronomy, electronics and computers, Jason is also an avid model railroader.
