WILD ROSE CHAPTER 151
Greetings from Chapter 151, Calgary AB, Canada. Our Chapter operated a QCWA table at the Calgary Amateur Radio Flea Market on Nov 1, 2003. Chapter president Ken Oelke VE6AFO and his good wife Linda-Lou VE6LGO spent their day explaining and signing up new members to Chapter 151 QCWA. There were about 260 hams at the flea market and it was a good opportunity to "spread the word" about the QCWA.

The wheels are beginning to turn for the planning of the QCWA 2006 Convention to be held in Calgary Alberta, our club being the sponsor.
We are also quite excited about sponsoring a local school as part of the Radio Amateurs of Canada Youth Education project, and have recently installed receivers and antennas for HF/VHF and UHF in a Science classroom. The Teacher is working on getting his Amateur Certificate and we have provided on air conversations for his class to listen in on. This same class will also be involved with "Kids Day" on January 4, 2004. Hopefully 20 metres is good enough for good communications with other Kids Day stations throughout North America.
